Red Amaryllis by Kume Bryant
THE MEANING & SYMBOLISM OF AMARYLLIS
Legend has it that the amaryllis - the stunning red flower we've come to associate with the holidays - began as a shy, timid nymph. I am a Korean American artist living and working in Tucson, Arizona, in the United States. I love the messy process of painting and follow my creative path naturally in absolute freedom. Painting moments are a healing process, a mental getaway to quiet my mind. I earned a degree in graphic art and worked as one for 20+ years, but I have always hoped to paint. With my husbands' encouragement, I gave it a go, and it was love at first try. I am a self-taught artist since 2007. All my old and up-to-present works are on this site for you to get to know my progress over the years. My works are copyrighted. All Rights Reserved.
